AIA WYOMING Annual Meetings
highlight the ever-present issues of growth, change & sustainable
building & living practices.
"Wyoming has a chance to do it right. Its incumbent upon architects
to seize that opportunity!"
Recent
gatherings of architects and community leaders from across the state
and region prove that as a profession we have much to do to ensure
our states future livability. As our communities continue to
grow & change. often at a startling pace we must
encourage our community leaders to seek out thoughtful process,
promote good design, and make sure that we involve ourselves
in the
dialogue at every turn.
The
information presented in Cheyenne from the
AIA Knowledge Community:
Communities by Design
& 50>50,
was a great continuance to the the
Jackson CaseStudy dialogue last Fall. The reality of
regional growth &
sustainability issues will continue to be hot topics within our profession
and in our homes. And again it must be reinforced that we, as
architects & designer are experts on these subject matters, & we need to lend our voice, only
LOUDER.
AIA
Wyoming Meeting attendants have told us that they want to continue to discuss
these critical community design issues, so we plan to feature this
theme at our annual meetings over the next year.
Let
us know if there is a related subject you would like to have
included.
